Rates/Terms: Pays on
publication. $5 per article published in the print
version; $5 per article posted on the web ($10 if both.)
$5 for three writing-related internet site reviews.
Accepts simultaneous submissions. Buys one-time rights.
Reprints welcomed.
Guidelines: Submissions
must be writing related. Articles containing crude
language or offensive topics will be rejected. No
pornographic-related articles.
Query Preference:
E-mail submissions preferred, but snail mail is accepted.
When sending via e-mail, put manuscript in body of text.
No attachments. Send complete manuscript unless writing
site reviews. Query first with suggested sites to avoid
duplication from past issues. Send cartoons via
snail mail camera-ready (3x5 preferred size.) or in the
following formats: .gif, .wmf, .bmp, or .jpg.
Wants: 200-900 word submissions
on any topic pertaining to writing or publishing. Longer
articles considered. Writing-related
cartoons welcome. Internet site reviews.
Comments: In addition to
articles, we need magazine market listings, book
publishers, contests, information about upcoming
writing-related events in Nebraska or surrounding states,
and listings of what you have recently had published or
sold. There is no payment for newsy itemsbut CNWN
will provide link exchanges with contributers. Submission deadline for the Winter issue is
November 4, 1999, but items are accepted anytime.
